Schulich Alumni and baroque flutists for the win at the Indianapolis International Baroque Competition!

Schulich School of Music Alumna Alexa Raine-Wright brings home the $10,000 Devonna & Amos Gerber Grand Prize and Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra Prize at the 2016 Indianapolis International Baroque Competition. Vincent Lauzer, Schulich Alumnus also won the Dee Garrett Laureate and Stanley Ritchie Audience Prizes.

Both founding members of Flûte Alors!, the only professional recorder quartet in Canada, Alexa (BMus '11, MMus ’13) studied baroque flute with Claire Guimond and recorder with Matthias Maute and Vincent (BMus ’10, MMus ’12) studied recorder with Matthias Maute.  Both players are continually demonstrating the strength of our fantastic Early Music Area.  Congratulations to both alumni!
