Sabbatic Leave Application Schedule

Today the Provost sent out a listserve message to academic staff regarding the Sabbatic Leave Application Schedule:

According to Article 4.2 of the Regulations on Sabbatic Leaves for Full-Time Academic and Full-Time Librarian Staff a staff member shall forward an application for sabbatic leave for the following academic year to the Departmental Chair (or Dean in faculties without departments) or Administrative Librarian by October 1 of the year preceding the leave. (Thus, sabbatic applications for the 2007-2008 academic year must be filed by October 1, 2006.) In past years, there have been a number of applications for leave that have not respected this deadline.

Staff members should take note that late applications will only be considered where the failure to apply by October 1 is attributable to exceptional circumstances.
