OBIT: Myron Kocur, a former McGill employee, was 85
MONTREAL - A funeral service will be held on Friday (July 30) for Myron Kocur, a former long-time equipment manager at the McGill University Athletics & Recreation Complex. Kocur, who retired from McGill in 1990, died peacefully on July 28 after a short illness. He was 85.
Born on Oct. 6, 1924, he is survived by daughter Helen (Eugene Holowka) and son Roman, plus four grandchildren, a great-grandson and a large family in the Ukraine.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and thence Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 'L'Institut Benevole du Quebec des Associations de Jeunesse Ukrainienne Inc.'
