New CN boss Claude Mongeau says efficiency is key

Quebec native and McGill MBA graduate Claude Mongeau is not content to rest on the imposing legacies of his predecessors, Paul Tellier and Hunter Harrison, who moulded CN corporation into one of North America's strongest rail companies.

Named president and CEO on January 1, 2010, Mongeau is pushing CN to develop stronger relationships with its customers - including port terminal operators, grain, lumber and cargo shippers - in the belief that cooperation will drive further profits as well as enhance Canada's international competitiveness.
