New Book of interviews with Schulich School of Music and Shepherd School of Music professors released.

Published: 3 May 2017

A new publication highlighting fascinating insights gained through interviews with many Schulich professors has recently been released by the Rice University Gateway Study of Leadership program.  Earlier this year Rice University students traveled to Montreal to collaborate with Interim Dean Julie Cumming, Prof. Simon Aldrich, Director of the Music Entrepreneurship Program, Doctoral student Suzu Enns.  They interviewed several faculty members on six themes titled Turning PointsBeyond the NotesInvisible to VisibleCultivating TalentCollaborative Nature, and Music in our Lives.  Students from Rice University asked the same set of questions to faculty at Rice's Shepherd School of Music, and then documented the similarities and differences between the  two school's leadership structures and teaching cultures.
