Montreal Masters in Finance course launched

There may soon be a new talent pool for Canadian financial planners and advisors to dip into when they are looking for new recruits.

That’s because McGill University in Montreal has launched a new Masters of Management in Finance course, which will run for 12months. To be part of the Desautels Faculty of Management, the course is meant to give students vital preparation ahead of a career in a host of financial sectors ranging from financial consulting to asset management, risk management and corporate finance.

According to Dean Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou, the program has been designed specifically for students that do not have previous work experience and is meant to cover quantitative methods and advanced financial concepts.
