Montreal Gazette - Donations fill the bank

For 30 years, the Quebec Brain Bank has been collecting brains and distributing the tissues to scientists eager to understand the origins of brain diseases, from dementia to depression…

It is housed at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and funded primarily by the Fonds de recherche en santé du Québec. It is the largest and the oldest brain bank in Canada; more than 2,500 brains have been donated from all over Quebec.
