Ingrid Birker, the coordinator with the McGill University, Redpath Museum's Science Outreach Program, leads monthly bike and walking tours of the fossils, rocks and minerals in the buildings of the downtown core of Montreal.

"I do monthly walking tours and the 'Stones and beer' bike tours all summer long, starting on Mother's Day," Birker says. "The bike tour is a 20-kilometre tour with participants as young as 8 years old to 80 years old. After visiting the 14 locations, we go for a beer tasting (or non-alcoholic beverages for the younger participants) session at McAuslan Breweries.
