Lande Reading Room closing early on Thursday, September 23

The Lande Reading Room will close at 3:30 on Thursday the 23rd of September 2010 for the Beatty Memorial Lecture to be given by Garrett Stewart, the James O. Freedman Professor of Letters at Iowa University and a newly elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  He will deliver a talk entitled “Bookwork,” addressing the increasingly compelling position of the book within the field of contemporary art at 5:30.
