Julie Paquin, DCL'10, wins Prix Henri Capitant

Julie Paquin, LLM'97, DCL'10, has been awarded the prestigious Prix Henri Capitant 2011 for her doctoral thesis, entitled "Business Law Transplants and Economic Development:  An Empirical Study of Contract Enforcement in Dakar, Senegal", which was supervised by Professor Adelle Blackett.

The Association Henri Capitant prize in the doctoral category is given in recognition of the best doctoral thesis on a subject of private law applicable in Quebec from any Faculty of Law in Quebec (including the droit civil section of the University of Ottawa).

Julie Paquin is currently a Wainwright Junior Fellow at McGill's Faculty of Law, where she taught courses on leases and business associations.
