Extended loan periods & reduced fines!

McGill Library is pleased to announce improvements to its basic services.

As of June 4, 2012 McGill Students, Faculty and Staff loan periods will be extended:

• The Undergraduate loan period will be extended from two weeks to six weeks
• Graduate Students will be able to borrow items for 4 months (up from six weeks)
• Faculty/Staff loan periods will increase from one term to one year (due on May 15th).

As well as changes to the loan periods, McGill  Library is eliminating late fines from regular books, journals and scores for all McGill Students.  This new policy will  come into effect on June 4, 2012.

These loan period improvements and fine elimination for regular materials will increase the accessibility of the library’s  rich collection in support of teaching and research.
