Published: 12 March 2015

MBA students Sankalp Sachdeva, Brandon Groper, Nico Drohojowski, Abolfazl Keighobadi Lamjiri (Professional MBA), and Vasu Subrahmanian, won the prestigious Consulting prize and ranked 2nd overall at the 2015 USC Marshall Global Consulting Challenge.

This year’s challenge revolved around Cisco. The goal was to recommend a strategy on how Cisco could help clients adapt to the changing competitive landscape, specifically among service providers. Teams were judged by three separate panels of industry experts, management consultants, and senior executives from Cisco. Competing teams from around the globe included Copenhagen, Haas (UC Berkeley), HKUST, IPADE, NYU Stern, Tepper (Carnegie Mellon), Paul Merage (UC Irvine), Marshall (USC).

"USC Marshall, in collaboration with Cisco, hosted a fantastic event with some of the top MBA programs around the world. The competition allows each school to apply their classroom learning to a live problem, where only the best come out on top. We were fortunate to have a team composed of MBAs with a variety of backgrounds allowing us to thrive in such a competitive environment. The support we received from the faculty and other students also cannot go unmentioned as this is their award as much as it is ours,” said Desautels team El Segundo.
