Benjamin Perrin receives award for international humanitarian law research

Benjamin Perrin, a master's student, received the University of Ottawa International Law Students Association Award for his presentation on promoting compliance with international humanitarian law by private military and security companies. The award was given during the second annual Global Generations Conference, held in Ottawa on February 17. The conference was hosted by U. Ottawa's Faculty of Law and the Canadian Lawyers Association for International Human Rights. Mr. Perrin's research work was undertaken following Professor René Provost's seminar on international humanitarian law last term.
