Construction Start: University Centre - Roof Replacement

McGill University has mandated Couvertures St-Léonard to carry out the following project: University Centre / 18-045 - roof replacement

The project consists in the replacement of the roof, skylights and storm drains.

Construction start date: May 2023

Planned construction end date: September 2023

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Scope of work:

The project consists of the roof replacement, installing new skylights and storm drains and the removal of the old antenna.

Impact:

• Front door access will be maintained and protected with a covered walkway and fences;
• Side door access is only allowed for emergencies;
• During the month of May, noisy work from demolition may be heard;
• Occupation of the public domain in front of the building by a crane and a container. The zone will be delimited with a fence;
• In order to replace the storm drains of the roof's lower section, the contractor will have to access some rooms.
