Justin Trudeau and the Politics of Federalism

L'IÉCM s'est associé à l'École Max Bell de politiques publiques et à l'Institut de recherche en politiques publiques (IRPP) pour présenter une session plénière mettant en vedette un groupe d'experts qui discuteront des implications des résultats des élections fédérales de 2019 (événement anglophone):

"Justin Trudeau and the Politics of Federalism" 

On December 2, the premiers met in Toronto and formulated a number of demands for the new Trudeau minority government to address. How will the Prime Minister and his government address these demands and other pressures stemming from provincial mobilization and the politics of federalism more generally? How will Trudeau and his team find a way to address regional grievances while advancing a unifying policy agenda on issues such as fiscal federalism, health care, trade, Indigenous rights, climate change, and natural resources? Finally, and more generally, what are the issues that are particularly crucial for intergovernmental relations in the context of a federal minority government?

Le panel sera composé de Chantal Hébert du Toronto Star, de Daniel Béland de l'IÉCM, de Christopher Ragan de l'École Max Bell, et il sera modéré par Jennifer Ditchburn de l'IRPP. 

L'événement aura lieu le lundi 27 janivier, à partir de 17h, au Cercle Universitaire de McGill, dans la Salle de bal. Un Cocktail suivra la session plénière.
