The Michelle Douglas Lecture is held in conjunction with the Martine Roy Student Colloquium, with the aim of encouraging student scholarship and enhancing public engagement around issues related to equality and justice for LGBTI communities. The Lecture and Colloquium were established in recognition of the path-breaking work of these remarkable individuals towards the advancement of equality for LGBTI people in Canada. The Lecture and Colloquium are made possible by the generous contribution of IMK Advocates.
