Monday, November 3, 2008 15:00to16:30
Leacock Building 855 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

Former Speaker of the Rwandan Parliament (1997-2000), Joseph Sebarenzi teaches Conflict Transformation at the SIT/Graduate Institute in Vermont, USA. Mr. Sebarenzi has endured tragedy most of us cannot fathom. He lost both his parents, seven siblings, and numerous other relatives in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Yet, years later, as a senior government official in a position to exact revenge, he instead pushed for peace and reconciliation. Mr. Sebarenzi is a frequent speaker to colleges and Universities on peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation. He also is a contributor to BBC and VOA broadcasting to Africa.
