Tree Tour - Biodiversity Downtown? The Urban Forest of McGill University
We tend to think that biodiversity exists only in the wild —
wherever that is. But cities, in fact, are often havens of
biodiversity. During a walk through the trees and gardens of McGill
University, you will learn some of the important elements in
encouraging biodiversity — as well as how to identify at least 20
trees!
May 8th: 14:00-15:00 (in English), 16:00-17:00 (in
French)
$12/person includes the tour, an information
sheet, the Biosphère Urban BioKit, and a sapling donated by the Le
Conseil de l'Industrie forestière du Québec (CIFQ), in partnership
with 4-H Clubs of Quebec Inc. and the Quebec Ministry of Natural
Resources and Fauna.
Meet at the Redpath Museum steps.
