Henri-Paul Normandin, BCL'81, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations. In his many years working in Asia and Africa with CIDA, and now at the UN in New York, Ambassador Normandin has had first-hand experience in the field of law and justice, both in the context of international development and peace operations. In addition to his work in poverty reduction, he was involved in numerous legal reform initiatives, the establishment of institutions such as human rights commissions, and the fight against impunity. He will share his thoughts on the links between the rule of law, international peace and development.
