Michael McKeon (English, Rutgers) will be on campus to discuss his recent work, "The Secret History of Domesticity: Public, Private, and the Division of Knowledge" (Baltimore, 2005). Short papers will be presented by professors Michael Bristol (English, McGill), Marcie Frank (English, Concordia), John Hall (Sociology, McGill), Kevin Pask (English, Concordia), Peter Sabor (English, McGill), Richard Taws (Art History, McGill) and Robert Tittler (History and Art History, Concordia), considering a range of related themes. Reception follows at Thomson House, 6 pm.
