Neural Basis of the fMRI Signal (Dr. Amir Shmuel)
BIC Lecture Series: Fall 2010 Program
The "BIC Lecture Series" is a series of informal lectures on brain imaging that is presented at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (BIC) of the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) by experts in the field; these lectures are open to all.
The Fall 2010 Program of the BIC Lecture Series will feature a number of introductory presentations to get you up to speed on the basics of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), as well as how these are used to study the brain and its functions.
Please join us for our eighth lecture of the season, which will be held on Monday, November the 29th, at 1:00 pm in the de Grandpré Communications Centre of the MNI (3801 University Street, Montreal, QC, H3A 2B4). This lecture will be given by Dr. Amir Shmuel, who will be presenting an introduction to the neural basis of the fMRI signal.
