A dynamic information-sharing session on issues Muslim women face at work, e.g., promotion barriers, doing well in pink collar jobs but struggling in other occupations, co-workers' reaction to the Hijab, how to deal with people misunderstanding one's beliefs, how to manage work and family life. Panelists: Chelby Daigle, an Ottawa community worker who wears the Hijab and is extremely involved in feminist and Muslim activism (click on "Website" for her blog); Nuzhat Jafri, diversity management consultant and board member, Canadian Council for Muslim Women; Sheema Khan, former chair, CAIR-CAN (Council for American Islamic Relations in Canada), patent agent, inventor and Globe and Mail columnist on Islam and Muslims.
