Recently, a new outcome measure for assessing confidence with wheelchair use, the Wheelchair Use Confidence Scale (WheelCon), was developed. Since its inception, the WheelCon has been modified to assess confidence with power wheelchair use and also translated into Canadian French. This talk will provide an overview of the original development of the WheelCon, its modifications to date, and future plans.
