MATHSTAT GRAD STUDENT SEMINAR

Friday, March 10, 2017 13:00
Burnside Hall 10th floor Grad. Lounge, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 0B9, CA

This week, Michele Fornea will be asking us if we could still pass calc 1.:

The audience will have one hour to answer N questions plus a bonus one to get A+. Every right answer could result in the win of chocolate cookies. More seriously, I will present examples of functions showing pathological behaviours highlighting important subtleties related to the understanding of one-variable real-valued functions.

See you all there!

All graduate students are invited. As with all talks in the graduate student seminar, this talk will be accessible to all graduate students in math and stats. This seminar was made possible by funding from the McGill mathematics and statistics departmentand GSAMS.
