Dr. Piero Anversa from Harvard Medical School is the 2008 recipient of the Louis and Artur Lucian Award.  Dr. Anversa is internationally renowned for his work on cardiac regenerative therapy.  The Louis and Artur Lucian Award is now in its thirtieth year at McGill University.  Initiated by the late Dean of Medicine, Dr. Patrick Cronin, this award of $60,000. rewards the best researcher in cardiovascular diseases.  A committee made up of Internationally renowned physicians and researchers meet yearly to select the awardee.  Dr. Anversa's Lucian Award Lecture presentation will be "Redefining Myocardial Biology".
