Juanicas- A documentary on mental illness (Bi-polar)

Juanicas, written and directed by Montrealer Karina Garcia Casanova, is a bittersweet personal chronicle of her family's struggle with mental illness. Shot over the course of 10 years, the film documents her complex relationship with her mother and brother, both suffering from bipolar disorder.

Juanicas will be released on March 27th, 28th & 29th, 2015 at Cinéma Excentris (for 3 nights unless we get enough people to extend the run), with French and English subtitles.
There are group discounts for 10+ people ($7 a ticket and leader/teacher is free of charge) at Excentris. The screenings will be followed by a discussion.
