About the Justice Charles D. Gonthier Lecture Series

As those who had the privilege to know him are aware, judicial integrity, responsibility and fraternity were important values to the Honourable Judge Charles D. Gonthier (1928-2009), and he supported research, education and practical activities to promote sustainable development, in its economic, environmental and social dimensions. The legacy of values he embraced is kept alive through the Gonthier Endowment Fund established in his name, to support a new series of biennial Lectures.

You are invited to join a select group of justices, deans, leaders, jurists and others from across Canada and the world, eager to broaden their minds on emerging law, justice and sustainability concerns, at the inaugural Charles D Gonthier Memorial Lecture.

The Gonthier Lecture will be preceded by a reception at 17:00 at McGill's Law Faculty, and followed by a Banquet Dinner at 19:30 also at the McGill Faculty Club.
