Data Analysis Tools for Qualitative Research. Speaker Series - Evelyne Mondou - PhD Candidate
Data Analysis Tools for Qualitative Research
This presentation will demonstrate how the use of simple computer tools can provide a systematic approach to qualitative research. A case study and an action research project will be used to illustrate the different types of applied qualitative analyses that were used. These two settings made use of a number of software tools that were originally developed for other applications. The talk will discuss how these were adapted and used to meet the research objectives.
The purpose of the SIS Speaker Series is to give Ph.D. and Master’s students in the School of Information Studies a behind-the-scenes glimpse at research and the research process. Students and faculty from the Faculty of Education as well as the wider McGill community are invited to attend.
