Learn about the concepts of evolution with students from the Redpath Museum Club as they present a suite of interactive activities:

Fossils and evolution (presentation introducing fossils and deep time, in the Auditorium, 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM)

Adapt-a-creature (a participatory art mural, in Room 200, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM)

Ongoing presentations in the exhibit galleries:

From fins to limbs (examine fossil bones and transitional limb structures)

Soft and squishy animals (learn about the world’s oldest fossils)

A Beak that fits the bill / Ça vaut un gros bec (learn about the link between birds and dinosaurs)

From legs to wings (learn how dinosaur arms evolved into bird wings)

TBC:  Human evolution and toolmaking (includes flintknapping demonstration, 3rd floor gallery)
