Craig E Nelson seminar on "How you can have brighter and harder-working students"

T-PULSE, the Tomlinson Project in University-Level Science Education, presents a seminar by Craig E. Nelson, Professor Emeritus at Indiana University, entitled “How you can have brighter and harder-working students: Applying the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Science and Math”. Professor Nelson was awarded the Carnegie Professor of the Year award in 2000, and focuses on developing critical thinking skills and deeper understanding in students. The seminar is open to all faculty and graduate students in the Faculty of Science who wish to improve their teaching.

The seminar will take place on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, in the Thomson House ballroom (3650 McTavish). Lunch will be provided.
