Colloquium – The BAnQ: Successes and challenges

Hélène Roussel, Directrice générale de la diffusion, Bibliothèque et archives nationale du Québec. Two years after opening, the Grande Bibliothèque has registered 6 million visitors, who have borrowed 7.5 million documents and asked 2 million information and reference questions. On the Internet, 14 million visits were made in one year. The BAnQ is working to improve its services and continues its development, with new services and new collections aimed at specific clientele, using the library on site or at a distance. All welcome.
