Comparative Healthcare Systems Programs presents their 4th annual public health conference “Health in Refuge: The Refugee’s Journey to Canada.”

When: 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015

Where: SSMU Building, Ballroom (3rd floor of 3600 McTavish Street, Suite 1200, Montréal)

"Join us as we embark on the journey of a Canadian refugee. Our conference will start from the countries of origin where we will learn about the major refugee-producing conflicts and the camps which play a vital role in protecting and transporting refugees. After arriving in Canada, we will learn about the different legal statuses of refugees and delve into the contentious refugee healthcare cuts. A diverse panel will debate the legality and morality of the cuts. Finally, we will conclude with the impact of these budget cuts on refugees and healthcare providers.

The conference is sure to be an engaging and eye-opening event for all those who are interested in global and public health. Our speakers are distinguished doctors who work extensively in the migrant and refugee communities.

There will be plenty of opportunities to engage with speakers and fellow participants during the workshops, provided coffee breaks and free networking lunch. We look forward to your attendance!"

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. Order soon as they are limited! Don’t forget to RSVP on our Facebook event as well!
