The challenge of development in Sub-Saharan Africa: Conflict resolution, democratic governance and education

This conference promises to be unique in several respects. The participants are not only from various disciplines, but also include both academics and people from policymaking circles. It is a first effort to address the multiple dimensions of the challenges facing the region, both in the short and long term. Ultimately, the goal is to help Canada re-engage itself with Africa.
