Category Theory Research Center: '2-toposes III'

Tuesday, May 23, 2006 14:30to16:00
Burnside Hall 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 0B9, CA
M. Weber. Previous lectures discussed the notion of 2-topos, its associated yoneda structure and some examples. This talk will explain some of the theory: the structure of $\Omega$ (the codomain of the classifying discrete opfibration), the 2-dimensional analogue of "natural numbers object" and (time permitting) some applications to the general theory of operads. Coffee and cookies afterwards in the lounge, at 4 pm.
