What is CAMP CAYUGA?

 
Camp Cayuga is a not for profit organization that provides young people who have cancer with a unique and enriching outdoor residential camp experience. It is the first bilingual summer camp exclusively for youths with cancer in the Province of Quebec, and thanks to our generous sponsors camp is free of charge for every participant. Live, Laugh and Explore this summer at Camp Cayuga!
 
 
Caught between childhood and adulthood, this unique age group (15-20) faces medical and psychosocial challenges that require special attention. Camp Cayuga supports individuals with an exhilarating, challenging and rewarding experience that will provide a lifetime of memories to draw upon as they face the challenges of everyday life of living with cancer.
 

When is CAMP CAYUGA?

 
In 2015, Camp Cayuga will hold (one) 8 day residential camp session: August 8 – 15th for a minimum of 30 campers approximately age 15-20 who are on active treatment or up to two years off treatment.
 

Where is CAMP CAYUGA?

 
Scout Camp Tamararcouta, a beautiful and well – equipped summer camp facility located an hour north of Montreal in the Laurentian Mountains (Quebec) is the home of Camp Cayuga. The facility is situated on a private lake with over 1000 acres of woodland and offers extensive programming activities on both land and water for Cayuga’s exclusive use. A traditional residential summer camp, it provides well-equipped cabins and ample indoor and outdoor activity areas.

How to register?

 

STEP ONE:
 
Visit your clinic for your Application Package OR complete the online “Camper, Parent/Guardian Inquiries” form to receive your application package.
 
The Application Package includes TWO required registration forms:
1) M1: by all campers 18 years or older OR by a parent/guardian
2) M2: by your medical professional

Receipt of Application:
You will receive an email acknowledging that we have received your application. Once the Medical Screening Committee has reviewed your complete application, we will send you a CONFIRMATION listing the program you have been accepted to by email. Your Welcome Package will be sent to you in June including further programming details, suggested packing list, essentially everything you need to get ready for an amazing 8-days of camp in August!

 


Please note: All campers application will be reviewed again 2-3 weeks prior to camp in order to ensure medical situation remains within the limits of Cayuga’s camper Medical Eligibility.
