Alumni Association of Ohio presents "Cleveland Baroque Orchestra : "Dido & Aeneas""
The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra welcomes McGill alumni with discount tickets!
Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, invites McGill
alumni to a production of Purcell’s "Dido & Aeneas", the tragic
and timeless tale of Queen Dido and her love for the Trojan hero
Aeneas.
McGill graduates and their guests will receive a discount on
tickets for the performance on January 31 at 2 p.m. at Josaphat
Arts Hall. In addition, attendees will have a chance to meet the
show’s stage director Marie-Nathalie Lacoursière after the
performance.
Lacoursière, who has a multidisciplinary background in music,
acting (specializing in commedia dell’arte), and dancing, is an
associate partner with Toronto Masque Theatre and Le Nouvel Opéra
in Montreal. She is a professor of gesture and baroque dance at
l’Université de Montréal and has also taught at Université du
Québec à Montréal, Stanford University, and Indiana University. For
over 15 years, she has worked as a baroque choreographer, actress,
and stage director for many groups and festivals.
The trendy Josaphat Arts Hall, a former Roman Catholic Church, is
the winner of two awards for historic preservation (from the
American Institute of Architecture and the Cleveland Restoration
Society) and has been profiled in numerous newspapers and
magazines.
With the McGill alumni discount, B-price tickets for adults are
$30. B-price tickets for K-12 and college students are $10.
Complimentary valet parking will be provided.
