Tuesday, January 28, 2014 09:30to15:30
Faculty Club 3450 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0E5, CA

Topics:

  • Meeting the needs of your difficult students while systematically decreasing behavior problems in the classroom
  • Exploring research‐based strategies to solve the “why” for difficult student behavior. No more guessing!
  • Develop a tool‐bag
  • Choosing strategies for individual students rather than for general labels (e.g., ADHD)
  • Identifying strategies that work because they are specifically matched to the reason for the misbehavior, the level of the student, and the students’ special needs

Dr. Lisa Reisinger, PhD, psychologist, university lecturer, published author, and past elementary school teacher has been supporting teachers of students with special needs for over twenty years. She brings to teachers both current research and years of experience to create approaches that are practical, individually based, and that work in today’s classroom.
