7th Annual Ruth and Alex Dworkin Moot Court of Jewish Law

The Faculty of Law will be hosting the 7th Annual Moot Court of Jewish Law. This year's case explores the halachic issues pertaining to Inheritance in Jewish Law.

The Moot Court program involves all Secondary IV students from Bialik High School, École Maïmonide, Hebrew Academy and Herzliah, who take part in writing a brief/factum using Judaic text to understand and solve a modern-day legal case. They will present before a panel composed of the Hon. Justice Morris J. Fish, the Hon. Benjamin J. Greenberg and Rabbi Schachar Orenstein.

A reception will follow starting at 19:00.

This moot is supported by the Generations Fund, the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre, and endowed by the Ruth and Alex Dworkin Family Foundation at the Jewish Community Foundation.
