New report finds supplier diversity a novel subject in Canada

In a new report supported by the Women's Entrepreneur Knowledge Hub out of Ryerson University, Prof. Patricia Hewlin and former Integrated Management fellows Sandra Urbina Chang (MBA’19), Fiorella Rojas Vizarreta, (MBA‘19) and Hoaran Wang (BCom’20) outline a two-part study on perceptions and attitudes towards supplier diversity. The study finds that supplier diversity remains a novel topic in Canada, and that there is an overall lack of awareness of supplier diversity issues. The findings also reveal that supplier diversity programs offer several benefits, such as brand value and improved communication. Two other McGill Desautels alumni also contributed to this report: Julia Cerone (BCom‘20) and Hanna Oosterveen (BA‘20).
