Mental Health: Tools adapted to Indigenous Communities

Mental health interventions often involve psychometric questionnaires that aren’t well adapted to members of Indigenous and Inuit communities. These communities prefer working with tools that promote resilience and empowerment, and that create a real dialogue.
A team from the Douglas Hospital Research Centre, led by Dr. Outi Linnaranta and Liliana Gomez Cardona, PhD, worked with members of Montréal’s Mohawk and Inuit communities to develop tools that better meet the needs of those communities. Read more
