From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu’aux étudiants et aux membres du personnel de l’Université McGill, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs essentiels. In memoriam: Dr. Dennis Engels

It is with sadness and fond memories that we share with you the passing of Dr. Dennis Engels, kindhearted man, sought-after supervisor, dedicated psychiatrist and esteemed teacher who, twice, received the Sigmund Freud Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Engels began working at the AMI/RVH in 1960 and diligently served the Department of Psychiatry for over 50 years. Following his retirement in 2013, the Dennis Engels Award for Excellence in Psychotherapy was established in his honour, rightfully calling attention to the admirable career of an admirable man.

Our condolences go out to the many loved ones Dr. Engels had to leave behind.
