Louis-Philip Guindon [KPE] wins the Jean Béliveau Athletic Award

Congratulations to Kinesiology and Physical Education graduate student, Louis-Philip Guindon for receiving the Jean Béliveau Athletic Award!

His research title is: "Examining Breathing Patterns during Common on-ice Movement Patterns in Male Hockey Goaltenders".

Louis-Philip Guindon is completing his MSc in Exercise Physiology and plays goaltender for McGill University Men’s Ice Hockey Team.

The Jean Béliveau Athletic Awards recognize outstanding McGill student-athletes for leadership in the community. Recipients receive a medallion accompanied by a bursary which ranges between $2,500 and $6,000, as per U SPORTS regulations. It is awarded to four full-time varsity student-athletes (two men and two women) who have demonstrated academic achievement and leadership in student and/or community affairs. These Athletic Financial Awards were established in 2016 to honour the memory of the Montreal Canadiens captain (Jean Béliveau), Hall of Fame member and inspirational community leader who passed away on Dec. 2, 2014.
