Help Make Bell Let's Talk Day a Success at McGill!

Published: 29 January 2018

Bell Let’s Talk Day is fast approaching and we need your help to make it a success!

What is it?

Bell Let’s Talk is a charitable program dedicated to the promotion and support of mental health across Canada. The annual awareness campaign encourages national conversation to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and promote awareness and understanding about mental health.

When is it?

This year, Bell Let’s Talk Day is Wednesday, January 31, 2018. There will be tabling in the Brown Student Services Building. Stop by and learn tips to get the mental health conversation started, learn about Healthy McGill's #SelfCareChallenge, visit the colouring stations, and grab a tasty snack and hot drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate)!

How can you help make this a success at McGill?

  1. Sign the Bell Let’s Talk Banner as a pledge to continue the mental health conversation. It's placed in the East Wing, 1st floor lobby of the Brown Building (by the AskMcGill desk).
  2. Wear your pin and/or toque leading up to and on Bell Let’s Talk Day.
  3. Fill in a speech bubble with a positive mental health message (bubbles will be displayed around the Brown Building).
  4. Be active on social media. Bell will donate 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs for every tweet using #BellLetsTalk, each time the Snapchat filter is used, and every view of the Bell Let's Talk video on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
