Anyone who has visited the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Montreal Children's Hospital in the past few years cannot have missed the fact that the PICU staff are always writing on the sliding glass doors. This was not vandalism! It all started as part of an innovative quality improvement project called the Glass Door project, led by Dr. Samara Zavalkoff. The results of this exciting work, showing acceptance and appreciation by families and staff, were published last week in BMJ Open Quality 2021. 10(3).
