Expert: WHO healthy-aging program begins rollout in Quebec
On Sept.1, the first Canadian participant will begin the World Health Organization's Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) program, marking the start of the initiative's rollout in Quebec.
ICOPE aims to help older adults maintain their independence for longer through regular assessments to identify early signs of decline to allow intervention before crises develop, as well as co-ordinated followup. The program adapted for Quebec is led by Schouela CEDurable in collaboration with the Division of Geriatric Medicine at McGill University and the RUISSS McGill network.
Available for interviews:
- Dr. Gustavo Duque, Scientific Director of Schouela CEDurable, Director of McGill’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Principal Investigator at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre can discuss the ICOPE model and its implementation in Quebec.
