Dr. Charlotte Usselman Presents Keynote Lecture at Ontario Exercise Physiology July Conference

Dr. Charlotte Usselman, PI of the Cardiovascular Health and Autonomic Regulation Laboratory (CHARLab) in KPE, was the Early Career Keynote Speaker at the Ontario Exercise Physiology Conference in Alliston, ON (July 27-29, 2022).

Dr. Usselman spoke about her research program and the career trajectory that led her to it in a talk entitled "Life in the neurovascular lane: My journey through academia to a career studying women’s cardiovascular health". CHARLab PhD candidate Yasmine Coovadia also spoke at the conference in the Student Award Category, where she received the runner-up prize for her talk entitled "Dynamic blood pressure regulation: beat-by-beat responses following muscle sympathetic nerve activity during acute sympatho-excitation".

A great time was had by all, and CHARLab looks forward to attending this exceptional conference on a regular basis in the future!
