DISE doctoral students win prize at IVSA conference

 one or more peopleCongratulations to Hani Sadati and Milka Nyariro, doctoral students in the Department of Integrated Studies for Education, for their award-winning poster “Picturing Change Through Photovoice: Participatory Evaluation of a Daycare Intervention in an Urban Informal Context,” presented at the 35th Annual Conference of the International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA). The poster was voted as the best poster by the jury and was also selected as "the people’s choice" by the delegates at the conference.

The conference, held at Concordia University June 19-22, brought visual researchers from around the world. Researchers and doctoral students from McGill, and specifically from the Participatory Cultures Laboratory, gave a number of presentations at the conference.
