Congratulations to Yumi Dille for receiving the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award at BE-STEMM 2025
We are thrilled to announce that Yumi Dille, PhD student in Human Genetics program supervised by Dr. Myriam Srour, has received the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award at the BE-STEMM 2025 Conference, organized by the Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN) and hosted at the University of Calgary.
Yumi’s presentation, “Minorities in STEMM: From Underrepresentation to Empowerment in Academia,” addressed strategies to equip students with practical tools to navigate and succeed in challenging academic environments. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing equity, fostering inclusion, and supporting the success of underrepresented groups in STEMM fields.
