Published: 15 January 2020

Wainwright Fellowships are intended to to promote research in civil law at the Faculty of Law of McGill University. In addition to the classical civil law concepts such as contractual or extra-contractual obligations, the civil law is understood here in a broad sense and includes, in particular, commercial law, the labour law, maritime law, private judicial law, private international law and the law of the sea, comparative law, so long as the civil law is a substantial element of it.

Wainwright Fellows take up residence at McGill, contribute to the intellectual life of the Faculty of Law, and participate in the teaching future jurists.

The Wainwright fund invites candidates to submit an application for either the Junior Fellowship in Civil Law or the Senior Fellowship in Civil Law, as appropriate. Deadline to apply is 23 March 2020.
