All library branches closed until further notice. Access to e-resources & virtual services continues.

Further to Quebec government and university directives, McGill campuses will be closed except for necessary activities. As a result, all library branches on both campuses are closed until further notice.

The Library has implemented the following initiatives during the closure period:

- Reference Services: All reference services will be done on a remote basis during the closure period. From May 1-31, chat, email or text a librarian from Monday to Friday, 10AM-6PM; Saturday noon-5PM. From June 1 to August 28, chat, email or text a librarian from Monday to Friday, 10AM-4PM. Connect directly with your subject-specific liaison librarian via email if you have in-depth reference questions or need help with research.

No fines will be accrued during the closure. All loans have been extended until September 15, 2020. Please note, returned items will appear on your account until the library re-opens and staff can discharge the material.

- Temporary open resources:webpage listing publishers/resources that have been made freely available during the COVID-19 period including access to millions of items from McGill’s print collection through new HathiTrust emergency service.
